Religious Sight Word Games, a SALE, & Free July Bulletins

Sight Word Games

Can your young students read basic faith sight words? I want my young students to learn to read God, Holy, and Jesus just as easily as they read and, the, or why. I have two resources to help build reading skills focusing on Religious sight word games: Tic Tac Toe and Mazes. Both of these games are on SALE! They will be 20% off until Friday.

Sight Word Tic Tac Toe

This game will encourage your kiddos to learn some key Catholic words like Jesus, God, Holy, and Saint. There are four different game boards, along with flashcards and game pieces. The kids can choose their words by reading and placing game pieces, or they can use the flashcards to make a game of chance. Fun! One board includes nine famous saints so it’s a perfect activity for All Saints Day.

Some of the words in the sight words Tic Tac Toe games are…

  • Father, Son, Holy Spirit, Jesus, God, Christ, Amen, Pray, Holy
  • Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, Self-Control
  • Saint, Bible, Heaven, Mary, Joseph, Jesus, Catholic, Faith, Church
  • Saint Therese, Saint Patrick, Saint Valentine, Saint Padre Pio, Saint Leo the Great, Saint Cecilia, Saint Joan of Arc, Saint Juan Diego, Saint Vincent de Paul

Sight Word Mazes

These are fun mazes that students can complete during stations or bell-work. Each page has 1 focus word and the students follow that word through the maze. The other boxes on the maze are fill with other religious words so students could get extra reading practice by reading all the other words on the page as well! These activity pages will help your students learn some Catholic sight words like God, Holy, Jesus, and Spirit. There are 10 different worksheets so the kids can practice many different words. I like to laminate these so kids can use dry-erase markers and practice over and over and over again.

July Catholic Kids Bulletin

The FREE Printable Catholic Kids Bulletin worksheets match up to the weekly Mass readings in the Catholic Church. There are coloring pages that match the weekly Gospel reading. There are Mass activities throughout the month, as well as Psalm copy work and a word search. In addition, the order of the liturgy of the Mass along the top of each bulletin also helps kids follow along during Mass. Next, they can learn the order and structure of the Mass. Finally, a coloring page about a Catholic Saint teaches about Catholic History and saints. For example, these are terrific to teach at Mass, in addition to a pre-teaching activity to help prepare your students for the Sunday Mass.

***Have you tried printing the bulletins on cardstock? It helps kids color without accidentally writing on the pew!***
