February Bulletins and NEW Mass Order Activities!

NEW Mass Order Activities

Do you want to expand your teaching on the Mass? There are 3 new resources available that connect to the Catholic Kids Bulletins: a book, a worksheet, and a game!

Mass Order Early Reader Book

This early reader book explains the Mass Order pictures from the weekly CKB. Each page has a picture and title directly from the bulletin along with simple sentences identifying the pictures and a short explanation for the image.

The book is 15 full-size pages for a class read-aloud. You could also print the PDF with 2 or 4 pages per paper for small books for each student. The black and white pages are perfect for a coloring activity as the students analyze the images and connect to the Mass.

Example Book Text

‘“The picture for the Our Father is Heaven. When we pray the Our Father, we say, “Our Father, who art in Heaven…”’

‘The picture for the Holy Holy is an angel. Before we sing the Holy Holy, the Priest reminds us that we are praying with the angels.’

Mass Order Worksheet

This worksheet connects the Liturgy of the Word and the Liturgy of the Eucharist to the Mass order pictures from the weekly CKB. Students will color the sections different colors and match the pictures to the words to the pictures for each part of the Mass. First Reading, Psalm, Second Reading, Gospel, Offertory, Holy Holy, Consecration, Mystery of Faith, Great Amen, Our Father, Lamb of God, and Communion.

Mass Order Memory Game

This memory game uses the 12 pictures from the Mass order in the weekly CKB for printable memory cards. Print 2 copies with the pictures on the front and the “Catholic Mass” words on the back so students won’t be able to see the images through the paper. Kids can play memory, sort the cards in order, or play Baby Monkey Astronaut. Encourage the students to say the words aloud each time they flip a card so they get used to using the vocabulary of the Mass. First Reading, Psalm, Second Reading, Gospel, Offertory, Holy Holy, Consecration, Mystery of Faith, Great Amen, Our Father, Lamb of God, and Communion.

These are also available as a bundle with the book, worksheet and memory together, OR a bigger bundle that includes the full YEAR of CKB for Year A with these new activities.
