Free August Catholic Kids Bulletins & Beautiful Assumption Activities
August always seems to sit right on the edge of two seasons—one foot still in summer and the other stepping into school routines. Whether you’re wrapping up vacations or shopping for pencils, it’s also a great time to stay grounded in faith. The August Catholic Kids Bulletins are designed to help kids follow along with Mass, learn about the saints, and understand what the Gospel is really saying—all in ways that are kid-friendly and meaningful.
It’s also available in Spanish—Boletines Católicos para Niños: Agosto—with the same Gospel readings, saint activities, and faith-filled fun to support bilingual families and classrooms!

📖 Gospel Activity Pages in the August Catholic Kids Bulletins?
Each week, your children will explore the Sunday Gospel through activities like puzzles, word finds, and dot-to-dots. Here’s a peek at the Gospel themes this month:
- August 3 – 18th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Jesus tells a story about a rich man who stores up treasures for himself but forgets about God (Luke 12:13–21). The bulletin activity helps kids reflect on what’s really valuable in life—kindness, love, and faith. - August 10 – 19th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Jesus reminds us to be faithful and alert (Luke 12:32–48). In this week’s bulletin, kids think about the small ways they can be ready for God—like telling the truth, helping others, and showing love at home. - August 15 – Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary
The Assumption celebrates that Mary was taken into Heaven, body and soul, at the end of her earthly life. It’s a beautiful reminder of her special role in God’s plan and a sign of hope for all of us. On this holy day, we thank God for Mary’s “yes” and ask her to help us follow Jesus with love and trust. - August 17 – 20th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Jesus speaks about tough topics in this Gospel (Luke 12:49–53). It’s a reminder to take our faith seriously and live it out boldly. The bulletin invites kids to think about standing up for their faith. - August 24 – 21st Sunday in Ordinary Time
The Gospel focuses on the “narrow door” (Luke 13:22–30). Choosing the right path isn’t always easy, but the bulletin encourages kids to keep choosing kindness, honesty, and love—over and over again. - August 31 – 22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time
Jesus gives a lesson on humility and letting others go first (Luke 14:1, 7–14). The August Catholic Kids Bulletin offers a relatable example and a coloring page to help kids reflect on putting others first with a joyful heart.
👼 Saints in the August Catholic Kids Bulletins
This month’s saints are full of prayer, courage, and amazing conversions. Their stories show kids that holiness is possible at any age and in every walk of life.
- Saint Anne – Jesus’ grandma! A reminder of the power of prayer and the love that can be passed down through generations.
- Blessed Isidore Bakanja – A young man from Africa who held tightly to his faith, even when it cost him dearly.
- Saint Maximilian Kolbe – Gave his life for another during WWII. A model of sacrificial love.
- Saint Monica & Saint Augustine – A mother’s prayer and a son’s big conversion. Kids will see how patience and God’s timing work together.
- Saint Moses the Black – From gang leader to peaceful monk, his story is a favorite for showing how much God’s grace can change a person.
Each saint comes with a short story and coloring page inside the August Catholic Kids Bulletins—easy to share at home or in the classroom.
