Advent Lesson Bundle! Fun Games & Activities
Advent Lesson Ideas
Are you ready to teach about Advent? Last month, I mentioned my Advent PowerPoint as a quick and easy lesson idea. Today, I created some games and put them all together as a bundle. If you haven’t already planned your Advent lessons, this is for you!
There are two new activities in the bundle. The Advent Vocabulary Cards contains simple cards that can be used for charades, catchphrase, or any vocab game.
The second activity is Hexagonal Discussion Tiles which I’m so excited about! These are a great strategy to encourage discussion. Students try to connect the hexagons in creative ways and discuss the connections between the words as they place the tiles. This article has more information about Hexagonal Discussions.
Advent Poster & Color-by-Number
The bundle also includes a NEW style of Advent Wreath Poster. It’s similar to this poster and contains the same word art, but the style of the wreath is simpler so I could also create a simple color-by-number activity.
This version includes a poster-sized PDF and a letter-paper size that will be perfect for student printouts.
Both versions have 4 different printable pages. There is a full-color option, a black and white image to color, a black and white color-by-number, and a color-by-number without the descriptions and WordArt so students can complete that portion of the page on their own.

There are Mass activities throughout the month, as well as Psalm copy work and a word search. In addition, the order of the liturgy of the Mass along the top of each bulletin also helps kids follow along during Mass. Next, they can learn the order and structure of the Mass. Finally, a coloring page about a Catholic Saint teaches about Catholic History and saints. For example, these are terrific to teach at Mass, in addition to a pre-teaching activity to help prepare your students for the Sunday Mass.
