Easter Season Lessons: Divine Mercy Chaplet
Do your students need a reminder that Easter is a SEASON and not just a day? Lessons throughout the season will help students remember that the celebration isn’t over just because the Easter Bunny left. Check below for some Easter season lesson ideas to get you started.
Divine Mercy Sunday is the Sunday after Easter. This Divine Mercy Chaplet Prayer Handout and Coloring Page is perfect to guide students in praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet. Students can use the instructions page to pray the Chaplet and follow along with the words of the prayer. The next 2 pages are coloring pages that can be used for bulletin boards, activities, notebook covers, and calming meditation. When my students pray the chaplet, I like to offer a coloring page students can keep their hands busy while their minds are focused on God. This two-colored Chaplet is beautiful if you want a rosary that has extra symbolism for Divine Mercy.

Picture Search for Lent & Easter: This fun Lent and Easter game is a great gift for students or a short activity throughout Lent and Easter. There are 2 pages of activities–one for Lent, and one for Easter. Each printable activity includes Christian images of Jesus’ death and resurrection so students can reflect on the Passion, Stations of the Cross, Easter, and the Resurrection while searching for images. I printed these on cardstock and laminated them so they could be used with dry-erase markers.
Jesus’ Resurrection Lesson Plan Unit: Do your students know all the people and places of the Resurrection? This Unit is a great way for students to dig into the Word and find a deeper understanding of Easter. This all-inclusive unit contains everything you need to teach about Easter, Jesus’ resurrection, doubting Thomas, Ascension, Pentecost, and other appearances of Jesus that are important in the study of early Christians.
May Catholic Kids Bulletins
The FREE Printable Catholic Kids Bulletin worksheets match up to the weekly Mass readings in the Catholic Church. There are coloring pages that match the weekly Gospel reading. There are Mass activities throughout the month, as well as Psalm copy work and a word search. In addition, the order of the liturgy of the Mass along the top of each bulletin also helps kids follow along during Mass. Next, they can learn the order and structure of the Mass. Finally, a coloring page about a Catholic Saint teaches about Catholic History and saints. For example, these are terrific to teach at Mass, in addition to a pre-teaching activity to help prepare your students for the Sunday Mass.
